Tracer Model

At this point, I have now reached the point in creation of my model where I am able to move onto rigging.

The model very well represents a human, but however, it does not yet look like quite the character I am modelling. The model is almost fully textured, only missing textures in most of the arms/hands, and some minor places; additionally, the model does not yet have the hair or goggles included just yet as to allow time for texturing, however they will be modelled very soon.
The above may be why the model does not yet resemble the character that I am modelling, but shows that it may look like it once these things are finished.

The biggest downsides to this model is that firstly, it is not very smooth at all and so does not look as good or realistic as it could, this is because if the model were to be smoothed, it would go over the max amount of tris/faces. Secondly, there is not as much detail in clothing as I had hoped, as I was not able to include anywhere close to as much clothing that the character originally has in the time that I had, so it may look rather simplistic in this sense, or possibly just odd.

On the other hand, the texturing that is thus far completed has gone very well with almost no problems, looking as good as I hoped it would considering that the textures have not yet been blended or refined, in addition to the model needing to be low poly.

Pictures of the model thus far can be seen below.

The most difficult tasks that I have encountered while modelling so far have by far been modelling the head and hand, and connecting them to the main body, the hands were fairly difficult to tackle as I had not made them before, but by finding out different things on modelling hands they were eventually made.
The head was simple at first as it started as simply making a shape from a cube, however this became much more complicated when the eyes, ears, mouth and nose has to be made, as their positioning and how they are made is key to whether they will work or not, and was more than a challenge to create.
Finally, connecting the hands and the head was very difficult as creating the right amount of vertices in the right places was not as simple as creating and moving vertices for the most part, and after connecting these vertices, the 'bridge' between the two needed to look as natural as possible, which was also somewhat difficult.
